Mechanix Wear Original Glove Mechanix Wear Original Glove

Reviews

This is a fantastic all around light weight glove. The are comfortable enough to wear all day and are useful for any tasked needing light gloves. I have worn them for work (military stuff), shooting, dirty work, mechanical work and even as a summer glove for motorcycle riding. As a motorcycle glove they are good for around town sort of trips. The are not very thick and so vibration can be an issue on longer trips.. But for the price they fit better than many gloves that cost twice as much and can usually be found at the local Walmart.

At first I was skeptic about Mechanix Wear's sizing chart (located in their website). It said I was a medium but I had always thought I would fit a small better. I ordered the medium regardless and once I tried it on, it fit amazingly! I was surprised how comfortable it was. It's thick but I am still able to text with my phone while wearing these gloves. The covert color is perfect for me. This is my first Mechanix Wear and will certainly not be my last.

Always liked the gloves, not the advertising for wearing in public. If it's just the shop, no problem and colors make them easier to find and separate from someone else's. Good for concealed carry or cold or cool days at the range. Met my expectations. I would buy again and will when they wear out.

This is my first Amazon.com purchase, very good experience. I bought these on the recommendation of a buddy who wore them in Iraq, he swears by them and now I see why. Very happy with the Mechanix wear original gloves. I bought two pair , gloves wear out and by buying two pair at once I got free super saver shipping. I'm also of the mindset that two is one and one is none. I am impressed enough with them that I intend to keep a new pair in waiting at all times. The coyote color is nice and subdued, goes well with carhartt type colors and multicam. Overall lightweight and flexible. The synthetic gripping surface feels kind of like a very fine suede.. good grip but not so sticky that it hangs up on things. I can still dig in my pack/pockets and pick one thing out with no unwanted items coming along for the ride. Fit and finish is great, seams are well stitched, the glove feels and looks good. The hook and loop closure is perfect. I would describe it as a "micro" hook and loop. It's much quieter when separated than old style velcro, doesn't look like it will fuzz up and deteriorate like old style velcro either.

I recently bought these to replace my last set of tactical gloves that had worn out. I use these while in the field, general tasks, and shooting. The biggest advantage of these gloves over others I have used is that these actually last longer during heavy use. If you are wearing these everyday, expect these to last at least 45 days. That is quite a bit longer than standard flight gloves, which usually last me around 30 days, sometimes less. Good features: Leather bottom is thin enough to still feel trigger finger. I can also manipulate and use a laptop, radio and other small electronic devices like GPS while wearing them. The top is breathable, and allows my hand to feel cooler than either flight gloves or my last pair of black hawk tactical gloves. The velcro is the new type of velcro that is non abrasive, hard plastic. This is good because it doesn't wear out as fast nor does it melt as easily as gen I velcro. Negatives: Not as tight fitting around my fingers as I prefer. The thumb cut should be deeper, when I open my palm the material is tight between my pointing finger and thumb. If you use a firearm with a thick diameter grip such as a Beretta M92F, and your gloves are tight, this could be annoying and reduce accuracy by making an unnatural grip feel. Also the gloves have an annoyingly placed, very large tag on the side, it looks like ass when you cut it off too.

US Forge 403 18-Inch Extra Length Welding Gloves US Forge 403 18-Inch Extra Length Welding Gloves

I got these gloves for use with a wood stove, arranging logs, etc.. The long length makes them idea and they are better insulated than some others.

Bought a pair of these for my parents to use with their wood burning stove. They are perfect for this application having the extra length. After giving them as a Christmas present I have decided to buy another pair for myself too. Excellent quality leather and stitching. I was a little nervous about not being able to try them on before buying them but I'm completely satisfied and I'd definitely recommend this product.

These US Forge 403 18-inch welding gloves were a Christmas gift for my hubby. He was very impressed with the quality and comfort of the gloves, and really likes the extra long length. Great item!

These gloves have made working inside a hot home pizza oven much easier and more comfortable.

When we bought our new woodstove, I wanted some elbow length (for me, a woman) leather gloves to protect my hands and arms when I carried wood in, and again, when I added wood to the hot woodstove. No more burned forearms when I accidentally brush against the door frame of the stove! I know they're supposed to be gloves for welders, but I can highly recommend them for any chore where you need complete protection of your hands & arms.

True to size. Quite durable. I've worn for 2 months now with no issues. Not really water proof. I'd call it higly water resistant. Very good for Ky winters.

Great gloves for moderately low temperatures. Could be a little warmer, but if you're only going out for a little while or if its above 20F, your hands will be warm. Haven't stuck my hands in water so not sure how waterproof they really are, but in snow they seem to stay dry. They look pretty slick too, so that's a bonus :) The grip on these gloves is amazing, no slippage will be going on with these!

I have used my gloves when riding my bike at 30F and no rain and my fingers ended all red and hurting: not really warm for mild winter in Texas. I used my gloves when raining and, although I got to the end of my trip with my hands dry, when I got my gloves to do my ride back home they were wet inside. So, not really winter proof and not really water proof. I feel like I wasted my money and that this company has no problem making claims about their products which do not stand the simplest test. Very disappointed.

I love these gloves :) Before I go further though I would like to suggest that every but up a size, I have hands considered to be medium but the mediums were a little small. They have stretched a bit though and they fit much better now. Ok so I have found the gloves to be extremely water proof I can mes around in slushy snow and not have to worry about my hands getting wet. I also live in MN and it really cold up here and they have kept my hands warmer than any other glove I've ever owned in -10 degree weather. Not to say my hands were warm but I've never had a pair of gloves or mitten that retain heat at the temperature. They also have a very tough palm and very tough finger pads. It remains flexible while giving the toughness and grip I wanted. These glove are perfect for snowboarding and that is what I use them for. They hold up extremely well under trial of the tow rope. They also just look totally BA when you wear them so....

They are really waterproof, but not for really cold weather say under 30 degrees or so. They are a really good pair of gloves.

A few weeks ago my son, John, started watching these tapes and now claims that he'll someday break Mark Maguire's record. If he can or not isn't really the point. These tapes seem to provide a tremendous amount of confidence for the younger audience. The teaching style is simple but emphasizes being aggressive and having fun at the same time. Any time a player can accomplish both of these qualities on the diamond he's sure to feel like a winner no matter what league he plays in. Also the equipment tape was a little different than anything I have seen simply because it deals with off the field areas. A brilliant idea! It just goes to show you there's no replacement for pro experience when it comes to baseball. Who else would have thought to include a tape that adresses everything from dealing with bad wheather conditions (vasaline behind the ears, plastic bags over socks, etc.) to cost effective tips for all ages. Best regards! Anthony

These gloves are super for protection from thornes on berry vines. I usually have scars on my arms from these thornes every time I have to prune back the berry vines. Only wish they had better arm protection. I have to use a long sleeve shirt to protect my arms while prunning the vines.

That's about it. Six bucks for heavy duty work gloves; one shouldn't expect too much for that price. However. they seem to hold up OK with light use. The fabric seems tend to fray and rip. I've blown through much more expensive heavy duty gloves. These are not bad for the price.

The gloves are good quality, with reinforcements and have nice -large- fit. Like the color too...

Gave this as a gift for Christmas to two people both of them loved it, well made, strong, very usefull.

I was very excited when I received these for Christmas, and they've performed great so far. I use them in the garage when working on my truck, for moving boxes and large appliances, and while using power tools around the house (drill and circular saw). They provide adequate (not great) dexterity so that I can fit my finger in the trigger of my circular saw, but need to remove them if I'm trying to fit a socket head onto a bolt that's in a difficult position. They are also very comfortable and didn't require much "working in". They were flexible immediately and felt like I had been wearing them for months. The interior is soft and doesn't itch. However, I've now been using them pretty regularly for about 3 weeks and the interior lining on one of the gloves has started ripping out. The seam has started and continued to rip. I'm curious to see how comfortable they are without the lining. Maybe I'll post an update with the results.

Harbinger 1250 Training Grip WristWrap Glove (Black) Harbinger 1250 Training Grip WristWrap Glove (Black)

An excellent quality product with a very good grip. Does what the label says. Worth waiting for, having purchased them from USA.

These gloves are an excelent option to use them at a gym. I like the cushion fit and the wrist band that protects you of the bending of your wrist. Are very confortable. But i really don't like the feeling of the glove, seems to be weak and a poor made plastic. In a long term use, seems to scratched.

I wanted some weight lifting gloves with wrist support. The hand part doesn't have enough padding should be thicker. I lift very heavy weights and the bar feels like it's right in my hand it self. I still recommend this glove.

I'm cheap when it comes to buying certain things and to pay $26 for a pair of training gloves was a bit much for me. However I was tired of the cheap gloves that I had purchased allowing callus to form on my hands. When one of the guys that I work out with showed me his pair of Harbinger Training Gloves I was like, "those are nice but you paid how much?" Well I broke down and bought a pair and I'm so happy I did. They fit nice and snug with enough padding that I don't feel the weight bar or pull up bar when I'm working out. Also I have not had any peeling skin on my hands since using them. They are well...more than well...worth the money.

One of the guys in the local gym had a pair for the last three years and during that period, I have been through two pairs of weight-lifting gloves. Decided to purchase a pair under his recommendation. Excellent fit and finish. Enough padding and support to give you comfort and confidence to lift the weights and definitely not bulky to give that vague feeling. The price was very good for the quality received. Definitely recommend to casual and serious weight trainers.

Caframo Work 'n Play Drying Station Caframo Work 'n Play Drying Station

Reviews

This was bought as new from Amazon. The box was previously opened when I recieved this, but that doesn't really bother me much. The main problem I have is that the glove dryers get a hose attached to a spot in the base then the air is redirected to the glove holders. However, they are suppose to have a removable plate on the bottom, I'm guesing this is to let water or something out, But only one of the two plates is installed and the other is just missing. Whether this was a mistake by the original packagers or if someone broke this piece on thiers, bought a replacement and returned it after taking the part they needed, i don't know. But with three feet of snow outside I don't have the luxury of returning this. Looks like it will need a duck tape modification to use the glove dryers. I will update this once i get the chance to use it.

I bought this last year for husband's work boots (iron worker) and it works great!!! You can stick two hoses into each boot for extra drying power, also love the glove holders! Works great for the 4 year old too. Very easy to dissassemble and put back in box for storage over summer. I think this is a great product.

We had a crazy winter with lots of snow, I spend 8-10 hours a day in my Snowmobile boots for work, then another hour in Sorels to walk dogs. It was so nice to put on dry boots every morning. The Caframo Drying Station didn't fail me once, puts out a pretty high flow of warm air, so boots and gloves were dry in 30 minutes. The only con, it is loud.

Drying station works well but it would be nice to have the option to only turn on one pair of hoses at a time. Any time dryer is running both hose pairs are running, but sometimes I only have one pair of shoes or gloves to dry and only need one pair of hoses running.
